DT. Ole Miss. Robert Nkemdiche. 24. player. 56. The Cincinnati Bengals have never shied away from players who have questionable off-the-field backgrounds. One could say this has led them to some top talents, but also a big reason why Marv Lewis remains 0-7 in the playoffs. Even so, they would instantly see the value of having not just one but two dominant interior pass rushers up front.
Robert Nkemdiche has lost some steam in his draft stock thanks to his bizarre marijuana incident where he fell from a fourth-story window. This doesn’t change the fact that he is a big, talented defensive lineman who brings size, strength and surprising athleticism to the table. He can win with power moves and has developed as a finesse rusher as well. Finishing is still a problem, but given time learning from Geno Atkins, he can be great.
