More than ever the success of the Detroit Lions offense rests squarely on the shoulders of Matthew Stafford.  Especially now that Calvin Johnson is expected to retire.  That means the team cannot allow him to take the number of hits he did in 2015.  Fixing their bothersome tackle spots would go a long way in accomplishing that goal. <p>What makes Jack Conklin such a solid selection is the fact that he’s an experienced left tackle from a top program.  He could step in and start right away.  While not a supreme athlete he makes up for his deficiencies with fundamentals and hard work  He’d also help generate more push in the ground game.  Plug him at left tackle and the Lions could then move Riley Reiff to his natural spot on the right side, solving two problems at once.</p>.
