Will Jason Pierre-Paul be back? There’s a good chance, but probably not at the price he’d hoped for prior to his hand being mangled. Either way, the New York Giants have one overriding goal in 2016: find a way to improve what has been an anemic pass rush in their front four. If it comes from the edge, great but there is more than one way to make the quarterback feel heat.
Interior pressure is arguably even more valuable, which is why teams are drawn more and more towards Louisville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins. A big man at over 300 lbs but surprisingly athletic and quick. He boasts natural leverage which he uses to his advantage and is adept at splitting gaps to create pressure up the middle. Combined with plenty of power and the Giants would have plenty of use for such a player.
.
