Ohio State. Eli Apple. 26. player. 36. The expression “feed the machine” is thrown around a lot in sports and that applies here. There is no defense better than the Seattle Seahawks and most of their key pieces are still young and in their primes. However, that doesn’t mean the team should stop trying to acquire young talent.
Why have one good corner when you can have two? That is the logic behind the Seahawks drafting Eli Apple. The Ohio State corner is rising up boards fast and the reasons are plain to see. He’s big, boasts long arms and shows the kind of athleticism corners need to handle NFL receivers in coverage. Coaches will merely have to refine his hands technique as he can get too grabby at times.
.
