Riley Reiff is a good offensive tackle, but it’s becoming apparent to the Detroit Lions that his limited athleticism makes him a far better fit on the right side where that isn’t such a huge issue.  This means they have to find a way to get a tackle who can play on the left side, allowing him to move. <p>That is the logic behind their taking Jason Spriggs.  The Indiana product has the technique, footwork and agility made for playing the left side.  He mirrors pass rushers very well, can anchor against a good bull rush and shows plenty of fight when confronted.  He’s not the most accomplished run blocker though due to lacking upper body strength.  So that is something they’ll have to work on.</p>.
