Former teammate Damarious Randall came out of nowhere to become a legitimate NFL starter.  So maybe Arizona State is better at producing defensive backs that anticipated.  The Bears are in sore need of more help at both corner and safety in their secondary.  Lloyd Carrington could end up playing either for them. <p>He shows himself to be an aggressive but aware defender, willing to deliver hits and make tackles while also showing a calm and instinct to make plays in coverage.  What is holding him back is a lack of speed.  This affects many players differently.  Some find ways around it, others don’t.  Carrington could be an effective corner, or perhaps even converted to safety.  Vic Fangio does like his safeties to be interchangeable.</p>.
