4th Round

Cardale Jones. 4. player. 57. At some point the Bears vowed that they would address the quarterback position. Having nine picks in the draft affords them this opportunity. However, with Jay Cutler apparently not going anywhere as starter, the best thing for them to do is find depth. Perhaps a project player they can develop for the long-term.
That is the ideal situation for Cardale Jones. The Ohio State quarterback was a 1st round favorite at the beginning of this past season thanks to his elite physical talent and winning a national title. Soon though his stock fell as he struggled with inconsistency and was eventually benched. He is still much too raw in his mechanics and understanding of the position. It will take some time for coaches to mold him properly, making him the ideal 2-3 year project.
.
