Todd Gurley, RB, Rams (1st round, 10th overall) If you disagreed that Marcus Mariota has been the league’s top rookie this season, it’s probably because you felt Todd Gurley has been the most impressive first year player. Yeah, you’re probably right. Gurley came back from major knee surgery in less than a year to put the NFL on blast that he might not just be the best rookie in the league — he might be the best running back. Period.
Gurley’s exceptional burst, quickness, vision, and speed have been on display. He’s an absolute load for teams to take down, too. The Rams need only to find a way to get him more involved in the passing game, and he will be truly unstoppable.
