Eric Kendricks, LB, Vikings (2nd round, 45th overall) I could hardly believe it when the Vikings were able to get Eric Kendricks in the second round, and he’s proven to be one of the best value picks in the draft. So far in his rookie season, he’s racked up 42 tackles and four sacks, and is making plays from sideline to sideline. Here’s what I mean:

Kendricks is a player that, eventually, is going to just absolutely fill up a stat sheet. Whether its just accumulating tackles or making plays behind the line of scrimmage, or even in coverage, he’s going to be one of the more complete linebackers in the league. The Vikings have a talented young defense, and this type of playmaker has helped elevate them to a tie for 1st place in the division and a real shot at the playoffs this season.
