The 2015 class of NFL rookies has been very exciting already this season, and instead of doing a full ‘team’ of players we wanted to take a look at 25 guys from all different positions that have stood out this season.
Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans (1st round, 2nd overall)
Just six short games into his NFL career, and it’s already abundantly clear that Marcus Mariota is the real. Freaking. Deal. Mariota already has multiple games with four touchdown passes, and he’s thrown for two or more in 4-of-6 starts this season.
He’s missed a little time due to injury, but he’s among league leaders in QB rating and efficiency already at his young age, and led the Titans to a season-opening victory over Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers on the road. He also went into New Orleans and out-dueled Drew Brees just one week after Brees threw seven touchdown passes in a game.
Though the order of these rankings means nothing to me at this point, I think for my money, Mariota’s been the most impressive rookie already this season.
