Watch FSU WR Travis Rudolph destroy Syracuse’s defense

With Dalvin Cook and Everett Golson not playing on Saturday, the Florida State Seminoles did what everyone expected them to do — air the ball out to Travis Rudolph.

Oh, you didn’t see that coming either?

Rudolph has absolutely dominated the Syracuse defense today, including one play that will haunt the dreams of those who participated in this play for the rest of their lives. If you have a sensitive stomach when it comes to terrible defense, please avert your eyes…

But as great as that play was, that wasn’t the end of Rudolph’s magical afternoon against Syracuse. He has three touchdown grabs and is averaging nearly 40 yards per catch on the day.

Not a bad afternoon for the Sophomore who hasn’t had more than 69 yards in a game all season long.

Physically, this is a good-looking young player at 6-2 but we haven’t seen Florida State get him this involved in the offense through his first two seasons with the team. In his freshman season with the Seminoles, we never saw him go over 100 yards receiving in a game but we did see his best performance of the year statistically in a loss against the Oregon Ducks in the CFB Playoff.

As a recruit, this was a highly sought after player, and he chose Florida State over both Florida and Alabama, among a whole host of others.

As he continues to develop, we’ll hopefully see some more big plays like this but you can be certain the national spotlight is firmly on Rudolph after the big plays he has made against Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.
