Not much more needs to be said than the fact that Michigan State senior Connor Cook is currently the winningest quarterback in the country.  Following the victory over Indiana, he has pushed his record to 31-3 as a starter.

Among that long list of successes are two big bowl victories (Rose and Fiesta) in which he played some of his best football, indicating a significant clutch factor.  Cook is in many ways the ideal Fox quarterback.  Aside from the winning, he brings size, a good arm and knows how to operate from a run-first offense, which he’s done his entire time with the Spartans.  Few coaches love to run the football more than Fox.

Ryan Pace may see things differently.  Some have questioned Cook as a leader given his inability to get voted captain.  Leadership is something the Bears GM values highly.  Still, if the team does have plans to draft a quarterback early in 2016, few fit the profile of what this coaching staff is looking for better than Cook does.
