This may not be more true than at the quarterback position. Sure quarterbacks receive the most attention leading up to the draft, as numerous fan bases hope their team finds the one who can bring home a Super Bowl. This year however, there’s been a lot of movement at the position as players with a ton of hype entering the season, such as Cardale Jones of Ohio State and Jeremy Johnson of Auburn, couldn’t even keep their starting jobs. That’s left the door open for someone like Paxton Lynch of Memphis to enter the early-round conversation.
The same type of movement can be found at every position to some degree, and is sure to change a lot more as the season winds down. For the purpose of this article, we are going to focus on the first seven weeks of the season, rather than projecting what will happen in the future.
