Final Scouting Thoughts:
- I Wrote a scouting report about Clemson WR Mike Williams who I was extremely intrigued about. He is my second rated WR right now right behind Laquon Treadwell. Something about WRs named Mike Williams turn me off but this one could be legit. I fully expect him to enter the draft this year and be a first round pick. He could be a huge pickup for a team in the middle to late first round needing a WR.
- The rise and fall of Ohio State QB Cardale Jones is fascinating. Once rated my number one QB, Jones is now not even in my top five anymore. I still stand by my opinion that he should have entered the draft last year because his stock would never have been higher. If he entered last year he could have been a developmental QB for a few years and then let him start on that team. Now nobody knows what to think of Jones anymore and his evaluation process is going to be a fascinating one throughout the off season.
- Clemson safety Jayron Kearse is a Kam Chancellor clone in my opinion. Kearse is a freak of a physical specimen at 6’5 220 lbs with top class athleticism for that position. Kearse is a beast in run support with an explosive point of attack who is no slack in coverage. He is a junior who should declare for the NFL draft and be a top-15 to 20 selection.
- I mentioned DE Kemoko Turay from Rutgers earlier in this piece. Turay is turning heads of NFL scouts as a raw physical freak who can turn into a beast of a pass rusher with development. Turay is only a redshirt sophomore but if he continues to make an impact at Rutgers he may draw some interesting reviews from NFL teams if he declares for the draft. Rutgers is quietly producing some extremely talented prospects that need to be exposed to a national audience.
