2016 NFL Draft: Biggest Defensive Sleepers By Position
By Erik Lambert
Justin Simmons (FS, Boston College)
Once the school that produced Doug Flutie and other top offensive prospects, Boston College has become a defensive factory over the past few years. One name that is sure to draw attention just based on his dimensions is Justin Simmons. The young defensive back is a rangy 6’2″ with long arms and plays at top speed at all times, rarely showing hesitation in any of his movements.
Coaches have since moved him to corner to help with depth problems, which gives him valuable experience but his NFL calling should be safety. He’s got size and enough speed to play the run and pass well, is rarely out of position and earns praise for his work ethic and intelligence.
