facebooktwitterreddit

In tonight’s Monday Night Football match-up, the Redskins and Giants each had some critical fantasy football pieces. Between Odell Beckham Jr, Alfred Morris, and Eli Manning, the potential for fantasy points tonight was strong. After it was all said and done, the Giants rose victorious over the Redskins by a final score of 32-21.

Here are some of the fantasy stats that we saw come out of tonight’s game.

We’ll also highlight what happened in our NFL Mocks Staff fantasy football league. You can get all the latest NFL Mocks fantasy advice and listen to our podcast here, only at NFL Mocks and Blog Talk Radio!

Fantasy Stud of the Night: Eli Manning (19 fantasy points)

A solid night by Eli Manning in the Giants victory. He threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns, as well as zero interceptions. He was started in nearly 40% of ESPN fantasy leagues, surely giving those owners something to smile about heading towards Sunday’s games.

Fantasy Dud of the Night: Washington Redskins Running Backs (2 combined fantasy points)

Both Alfred Morris and Matt Jones failed to help out their fantasy owners, each having a combined two points tonight. Alfred Morris was started in 64% of ESPN fantasy leagues. The rookie Matt Jones got picked up in half of ESPN’s fantasy leagues and was started in nearly 30% of all leagues. Their combined lack of production earns them our Thursday Night Fantasy Dud(s) of the Night. Congrats, I guess.

Fantasy Surprise of the Night: Rueben Randle (17 fantasy points)

With Odell Beckham Jr. always stealing the spotlight, Rueben Randle finally got his chance to shine. Seven receptions for 116 yards and a crazy touchdown made Randle the second highest fantasy scorer of the night Thursday.
