Cincinnati QB Gunner Kiel Carted Off Field
While football fans were glued to the Giants versus Redskins game, big news was developing in the nights only college match-up. During the Cincinnati versus Memphis game, University of Cincinnati quarterback Gunner Kiel had to be carted off the field after a very late hit left him on the field for an extended period of time. Memphis Tigers defensive back Chauncey Lanier came in at the last second and hit Kiel in the side as he was sliding to the ground.
The officials initially called a targeting foul, but it was later reversed.
Thankfully, we have since learned Kiel has mobility in all of his limbs.

A redshirt junior, Kiel had made a name for himself as a midlevel NFL prospect. He possesses excellent arm strength and pocket presence, but plays a little stiff in the pocket. In his first season starting for the Bearcats, Kiel threw for over 3,000 yards and 31 touchdowns, but also threw 13 interceptions.
Kiel is currently ranked seventh among quarterbacks on my 2016 NFL Draft big board. He does still have eligibility if he decides to stay in school with what might be a large quarterback class this upcoming draft.
Hayden Moore replaced Kiel after the injury. Cincinnati went into the locker room at half time with a 30-28 lead over the Memphis Tigers.
