Ravens lost more than the game in Denver
Viewed as a clear AFC contender at the start of the season, the Baltimore Ravens had a chance to prove it by stealing a win in Denver. They came very close thanks to an outstanding defensive effort but couldn’t quite make it happen, coming up short on their final drive.
However this must be magnified beyond just one loss. Not only are they 0-1 on the season, they also saw their best defensive player in Terrell Suggs go down with a torn Achilles. He is out for the year and suddenly the backbone of the entire team, that defense looks awfully vulnerable.
As do the playoff hopes in Baltimore.
