College Football: FSU RB Dalvin Cook is dominating USF

Most of the Florida State team is struggling against the South Florida Bulls, but Dalvin Cook is the lone exception completely shredding the Bulls’ defense.

For some reason, Jimbo Fisher has decided to not just hand him the ball every play.

Cook is showing off incredible acceleration, explosiveness, power, and vision against USF’s 4-2-5 defensive alignment, one that the Seminoles haven’t attacked overly effectively through three quarters as this post is being written. Dalvin Cook, however, is absolutely crushing people on his way to a huge game.

Already nearly at 200 yards rushing with two touchdowns on the day, here’s an electrifying touchdown run from Cook:

Oh, and then there was this, which also nearly ended in a touchdown…

Cook is absolutely outstanding, and today he’s showing off a second and third gear that is opening the eyes of everyone around the country, even though the bigger story is how badly the 11th ranked Seminoles have struggled against the Bulls of USF on their home field in Tallahassee.

For NFL Draft fans, this is a big time bummer because you have to wait until 2017 at the earliest to see Cook in an NFL uniform, so get used to seeing him at Florida State doing these types of things. The sensational sophomore back appears to have significantly improved from last season despite the fact that he got into some trouble this offseason.

Perhaps most impressive in this game is Cook’s ability to break tackles and just shed defenders off of him like they are practice dummies.

If he keeps this up all year, there might just be a trip to New York in his future for the Heisman ceremony.
