Big 12

Shawn Spencer: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – Simply put, no one plays defense in the Big 12. Boykin is the best QB in the conference and the Horned Frogs are returning 10 starters on offense.

Tyler Morales: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – Boykin put together a tremendous season last year with TCU team who had an argument to make the College Football Playoffs. This year TCU is even better and Boykin is out to make a statement. He is one of the clear-cut early favorites for the Heisman and should be for the entire season.

George Stockburger: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – The scales a bit tipped because of how the conference plays, giving him a unique ability to rack up yards and points for TCU. They’re one of the more talented teams in college football this season, with guys like Josh Doctson sure to help him on the scoring end.

Jonah Tuls: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – Boykin is easily the biggest playmaker at his position in the nation. His athleticism as well as his ability to throw the ball makes him a dual threat force that is hard to stop. Although his college success won’t translate as well to the NFL, he should put up some gaudy numbers this year, and he is my overall favorite to win the whole thing if TCU goes undefeated.

Matthew Holowiak: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – What more needs to be said. One of the most talented quarterbacks in years. TCU is on the fast track to a title shot, and it’s going to start on the arm of Boykin.

Ryan Coon: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – Boykin burst onto the scene for the Horned Frogs in 2014, throwing for 4,000 yards and 33 touchdowns. A true dual threat, he also rushed for 700 yards and 8 TDs. He finished Fourth in the Heisman voting last season, and is a front-runner this year.

Sayre Bedinger: Trevone Boykin, QB (TCU) – This is the obvious pick here, but their first game against Minnesota showed just how valuable Boykin is going to be to this TCU team. If he continues his ascent, he’s a definite Heisman candidate.
