Tom Brady has been set free. Let me say that again, Tom Brady is free from all this “deflate-gate” nonsense. Because of this, the Patriots are now back as AFC contenders once again, but what does this mean for Fantasy Football purposes? For short, I’ll tell you that it changes the entire landscape for the fantasy value of all the New England Patriots.
Not only does this ruling drastically increase Tom Brady’s stock for the upcoming season fantasy football wise, but this could also launch Rob Gronkowski into the first round possibly. Everybody on the New England Patriots in terms of fantasy football should be given a boost in stock because of this shocking overturn of Tom Brady’s suspension. Before the suspension, Tom Brady was only getting drafted after the 8th round or so, but now I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Tom Brady is drafted in the top 70 picks. He is easily a top five quarterback for week one against the Pittsburgh Steelers and that dreadful secondary as of now. Other players like Brandon Lafell, Julian Edelman, and Jonas Gray should all be drafted much earlier as a result.
Overall, Tom Brady is now a top seven quarterback in fantasy football right now, and for people who have already participated in their fantasy football drafts, congratulations, you may have drafted the biggest steal of the entire draft.
