Biggest Sleeper: Tyler Patmon
The injury to Orlando Scandrick was a crippling blow to the Cowboys defense. He was their best cornerback last year and expected to hold that same mantle again this year. Now with him out, the team needs others to step up. One name who has steadily gained steam during preseason is Tyler Patmon.
The 24-year old Texas native out of Oklahoma State played his best game yet in week 3 against Minnesota and has the defensive coaching staff very excited. He looks like an ideal fit at the nickel corner position with the ability to tackle but also tremendous skill in coverage. Thus far three passes have been completed against him for -2 yards. Don’t be surprised if he makes some big plays for this team when they need them.
