The talent gap is still pretty significant between the Bears and the rest of the NFC North, but the good news is they have a much-improved coaching staff and a promising young GM in place to solve that problem. They just need more time to do so. This season will be hard to watch at times, just like last year but in the end they will finish with a better record and have a much clearer picture of what they’ll need to do in 2016.
Expect the bulk of their losses to come earlier in the season when they face a host of teams that either made the playoffs or had a winning record including Green Bay, Seattle, Arizona and Kansas City. It will take time for John Fox and his staff to beginning filtering out problems across the roster but his track record shows that his teams typically finish stronger than they start.
