Biggest Disappointment: Antrel Rolle
The veteran Pro Bowler was viewed as the leadership presence the team sorely lacked on defense last season. While signs show he’s living up to that, the problems that began to plague him before leaving New York have carried over to Chicago. Though still a smart and tough presence against the run, the 33-year old has clearly lost an element of speed, making him a liability in coverage.

Both times he was targeted in coverage resulted in receptions according to Pro Football Focus and he also was in the area when Cincinnati connected on a 31-yard touchdown pass. It may be preseason, but the signs show that Rolle may not be the answer the Bears hoped to secure the back end of their defense.
