Defensive MVP:  Pernell McPhee

It’s no accident he’s the choice.  He was the highest-priced free agent the team went out to get because he’s young, up-and-coming and a great fit for their new 3-4 scheme.  Pernell McPhee should be the MVP.  So far he has looked the part in preseason, frequently creating havoc as a pass rusher with a sack, a hit and four pressures on opposing quarterbacks.

He’ll need to play a little more under control during the season but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue.  Health permitting, it should be a breakout year for him.
