Pittsburgh Steelers: B.J. Finney
The loss of Maurkice Pouncey is a pill the Pittsburgh Steelers have had to swallow before, and it’s no easier this time either. As he prepares to get his ankle repaired, the team has to find out who will fill in at center to ensure that offensive line doesn’t lose any of the rhythm it had built up since last season.
Though the depth chart would suggest veteran Cody Wallace is next in line, smart money would say to keep a close eye on rookie B.J. Finney. Though an undrafted free agent, he had help up well in the preseason thus far. His advantage over Wallace at the moment is better rating as a run blocker. So if he can shore up his pass protection then the Steelers will be given enough cause to hand him the ball.
