5. Ka’Deem Carey, Chicago Bears

Current Starter: Matt Forte

Current Depth Chart Status: Primary Backup/Handcuff to Forte

– In my opinion, one of the steals of the 2014 NFL Draft was the Chicago Bears landing Ka’Deem Carey in the fourth round. He has waited patiently for his opportunity to come, and is still waiting for that opportunity as the aging, yet productive Matt Forte still has a tight grasp on the running back position in Chicago. However, with age comes more injury in some occasions, and Ka’Deem Carey is waiting in the balance to take over when Forte is out the door. Expect Forte’s workload to be cut a bit this year, and I would assume that most of those carries could go to Carey or Jeremy Langford. When it is time to draft, make sure to handcuff Ka’Deem Carey if you select Matt Forte as it would be a wise addition and act of security to your fantasy football lineup. If Forte is not in your lineup, I would still consider stashing him or looking out for him on the waiver wire.
