5. Tye Smith, CB, Seahawks

As they have become famous for in recent years, the Seahawks found another gem in the late rounds of the draft when they picked up Tye Smith out of small school Towson.

We had the privilege of taking to Smith prior to the draft, and if there’s one thing he doesn’t lack as a player it’s confidence. He believes in himself, and he believes in his ability to play with these guys in the NFL.

We hesitate to disagree.

Smith showed out well in the Seahawks’ opener, grading out a +1.9 from Pro Football Focus on 50 plus snaps. He recorded three tackles as well.
