The right guard spot has been a question mark throughout camp for Oakland. It’s presumed that J’Marcus Webb will get the job in week one. However, there’s an opportunity for the former Florida Gator Feliciano to get some work if things go awry on the right side.
From every available word from Raiders camp, it doesn’t appear that it’s safe to say Feliciano has exactly lit it up during the time he’s been given. While fourth-round picks at the offensive line spot aren’t necessarily expected to make an impact right away, this is a bit of a trickier situation.
Oakland must find a way to protect Derek Carr for all 16 games this year. Right now, it doesn’t appear Feliciano is able to manage and succeed against legitimate NFL defensive lines.
During the time he does get for the rest of the preseason, every snap is crucial. The coaching staff has to figure out what they have in the rookie, seemingly rather quickly.
