Dee Ford is looking like a bust
The plan was clear enough when the Chiefs drafted Auburn pass rusher Dee Ford last season. They envisioned him becoming that long-term book end across from Justin Houston who would terrorize quarterbacks for years to come. Thus far the sampling of what Ford can do at the pro level, shall we say, lacking.
It’s bad enough saying the guy had just 1.5 sacks in 16 games last season as a rookie, it’s another seeing him get pushed around or just plain flattened on plays like this.
That sent him out of the game with a rib problem, adding injury to insult. Ford is still only 24-years old and not a lost cause yet. Still, the evidence that he could be a bust is beginning to pile on.
