Stock Up: Zach Mettenberger
After all the hoopla surrounding the debut of Marcus Mariota with the Tennessee Titans in Atlanta, it’s easy to forget the team still has Zach Mettenberger on their roster. The former 6th round pick started almost half the season a year ago. Though he didn’t win a game, he did play well for stretches, showcasing his big arm and poise within the pocket. It makes it easy to throw dimes like this.
Mettenberger finished the night going 8-for-11 with 129 yards, a touchdown and an interception. This despite being pressures frequently by the Falcons defense. There are still kinks to work out, but if the Titans are committed to Mariota then they may have good reason to help him play well this preseason, increasing his trade value.
