You want to watch some fun cornerback tape, turn on Taveze Calhoun of Mississippi State. This guy is a true playmaker who can impact the game in so many ways. Calhoun is an exceptional tackler who impacts the game best when he’s around the ball carrier. He is all over the field for Mississippi State and it is beautiful to watch as a football fan. He is an impact player that opponents don’t want to fire up because the defense feeds off of his energy at times. His Auburn and Ole Miss film from 2013 showcases his all around ability as a player, he has game changing potential on defense. I was more impressed with his tackling ability then his coverage skills but that’s not knocking his ability to cover at all. He is not as good coverage wise as the #5 guy on this list but he changes a game in many different ways. He will improve on his coverage skills this year and he is a player college football fans should keep an eye out for. He is a lot of fun to watch, just take a look at these plays.

Calhoun will be an interesting prospect to monitor this season, him alongside Will Redmond will form an impressive duo once again in the SEC. Right now I have Calhoun higher then his counterpart Redmond and for many reasons. It will be interesting to see how teams will value Calhoun’s playmaking abilities since he lacks some ideal coverage skills. He was one of the more fun guys I have watched on film so far and I can not wait to watch him this year.
