Running Back
Joseph Randle (Dallas Cowboys)
The Cowboys have proclaimed anybody can run behind their offensive line. While not entirely true, it does mean that they stand a good chance of finding somebody who can fill in for the departed DeMarco Murray. Veteran free agent Darren McFadden seems like the lead candidate, but his run of poor play and injuries the past few years limits his odds.
Meanwhile, young reserve Joseph Randle averaged over six yards per carry in his limited snaps last season. Look for him to make a big move this year.
James White (New England Patriots)
Few teams are better at unveiling productive players from nowhere than the Patriots. Their recent purge at running back with the losses of Shane Vereen and Stevan Ridley opens the door for it to happen again.
Enter James White. The 4th round pick from 2014 spent his rookie year on the inactive list but his time may be coming. He’s a hard runner who is good in short yardage and offers versatility as a pass catcher. Fantasy owners must watch him carefully in training camp and the preseason.
