Drafts will begin soon for the annual NFL fantasy football league year and pretty much everybody has an idea of which players will be drafted, either early or later.  However, veteran fantasy owners know that leagues are won and lost based on who is able to navigate the waiver wire for timely contributors.

Here are some names to watch when the time comes to begin jumbling that lineup.

Quarterback

Tyrod Taylor (Buffalo Bills)

It still isn’t clear where the Bills quarterback situation sits, but for the first time in his career Tyrod Taylor has a chance to start.  Smart money says the team will go with the more established options like veteran Matt Cassel or former 1st round pick E.J. Manuel.  Still, Rex Ryan isn’t afraid to gamble.  If he feels the team isn’t getting a spark from either of those two, don’t be shocked if he puts Taylor in.

Mark Sanchez (Philadelphia Eagles)

This is not a slight on Sam Bradford, who should be the starter, but remember he’s coming off two-straight seasons of tearing the ACL in the same knee.  He’s a health risk, which means that his backup Mark Sanchez stands a good chance of seeing significant playing time in 2015 with the Philadelphia Eagles.  That makes him a great in-season pickup.
