The mainstays are pretty much covered in NFL fantasy football for 2015.  So who are some names at the wide receiver position poised for a breakout?

52. Many don’t realize how quietly productive Allen Robinson was for the Jacksonville Jaguars his rookie year.  Despite playing just 10 games he managed 548 yards and two touchdowns with a rookie quarterback in Blake Bortles throwing it to him most of the time.  A teammate has since compared him to a young Brandon Marshall.  While they may be a bit generous, experts saw a lot of ability in Robinson coming out of Penn State.  If Bortles progresses as hoped, he will reap the benefits and so will fantasy owners.. WR. Jacksonville. Allen Robinson. 1. player

45. Basically he was a draft-and-stash in 2014.  The Denver Broncos didn’t need Cody Latimer to play but took him in the 2nd round based on his talent.  Now that Eric Decker, Julius Thomas and Wes Welker are all gone, it’s time for the second-year kid from Indiana to step up and show everybody why the team invested in him.  He’s big, faster than people expect and has had time to learn what Peyton Manning wants in execution.  Like a maturing fruit, he’s ready to get plucked.. WR. Denver. Cody Latimer. 1. player

Josh Huff. 1. player. 54. Nelson Agholor was their 1st round pick, but the buzz out of Philadelphia Eagles camp is the coaches are loving the progress of second-year man Josh Huff.  Not surprising since he’s an Oregon guy whom Chip Kelly knows well.  There is already special teams value there but with his understanding to the system and game-breaking speed, Huff could become a serious option on offense if new quarterback Sam Bradford can regain the form that made him a first overall pick five years ago.. WR. Philadelphia

There are two reasons to believe a big surge is coming from Davante Adams.  First, he seems to have the complete confidence of his quarterback.  Aaron Rodgers has said no receiver has impressed him more in practice lately than Adams.  Second, how he finished the 2014 season.  Against New England and Dallas, two playoff teams,  he produced his two best games with the Green Bay Packers; combining 13 catches for 238 yards and a touchdown.  Whether he can find enough looks with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb still there is the hurdle he’ll have to clear.. WR. Green Bay. Davante Adams. 1. player. 49

player. 32. Amassing 696 yards and five touchdowns isn’t bad at all for a rookie season.  Doing so with the starting quarterback missing 10 games to a season-ending injury makes it that much more impressive.  John Brown is a speed demon who can strike at a moments notice.  He claims he’s in even better shape than he was last year for the Arizona Cardinals and now has the welcome news of Carson Palmer returning to resume his role as the starter.  It’s worth noting Brown scored all five of his touchdowns when Palmer was on the field.  So if they stay healthy, this tandem has shown it can produce.. WR. Arizona. John Brown. 1
