Baylor DE Shawn Oakman Is a Ridiculous Athlete: VIDEO
Baylor Bears 6-foot-9, 280 pound defensive end Shawn Oakman is a man among boys. But we already knew that.
He’s now accomplishing incredible feats of athleticism. I wonder if anyone’s going to have fun watching him this season as he prepares for a big run in the 2016 NFL Draft next year.
Here he is jumping 40 inches with 140 pounds of weight in his hands.
Once you’ve picked your jaw up off the ground, let me remind you of the enormity of this man.

Oakman, probably wisely, opted to return to Baylor for a senior season. He finished last season with 19 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, and 51 tackles to go along with three forced fumbles. Those are really good numbers, but he needs some more seasoning.
Clearly, athleticism is not a problem for the 6’9″ physical marvel.
I considered him a top 20 prospect based on the tape I evaluated last year:
“What really impresses me is the pad level Oakman is playing with in this video. He’s not too high, and he looks like he’s filled out his 6’9″ frame really well. He’s not a wiry 6’9″ like a basketball player. He’s a muscular, physical athlete with the potential to get even better. I think as you project him to the NFL, this is going to be someone that teams are really excited about. He’s going to affect every play he’s part of, and NFL teams are starting to see that on a consistent basis this season.”
