Detroit Lions at San Diego Chargers

The addition of Melvin Gordon was a tremendous boost for the San Diego Chargers offense, helping them to balance things out around Philip Rivers.  Timing couldn’t be better either as they prepare to face a Detroit Lions team that just lost their two starting defensive tackles to free agency.

Final:  DET 20, SD 27

Tennessee Titans at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

How perfect can it get?  The top two quarterbacks taken in the draft get to replay their Rose Bowl rematch as professionals right out of the gate.  Jameis Winston hopes to herald a new era for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by dismissing the guy he went ahead of in Marcus Mariota, who hope to again outshine his rival in direct competition.

Final:  TEN 17, TB 23

Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders

Another productive draft should keep the Cincinnati Bengals right where they are as a playoff team capable of a deep run if they ever figure out their problems.  Even so, they are prone to laying an egg at times.  Will that happen against the Oakland Raiders?  It just might, provided they don’t take Derek Carr seriously.

Final:  CIN 27, OAK 19
