Cleveland Browns at New York Jets
Two teams that have built pretty solid rosters on offense and defense but are ravaged with questions at quarterback. Josh McCown hopes to put his bad days in Tampa Bay behind him while Geno Smith will have Ryan Fitzpatrick breathing down his neck. Smith won’t need to do much though, as that dynamite New York Jets defense sets the tone.
Final: CLE 10, NYJ 21
Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills
This is the perfect test to see just how much the Indianapolis Colts have learned since last season. They face a physical team that plays good defense and will want to run the ball with LeSean McCoy. It’s hard to say whether the Colts have done enough to improve against that style of play, but there is always Andrew Luck.
Final: IND 20, BUF 24
Miami Dolphins at Washington Redskins
If there is any team that is looking forward to the NFL schedule, it must be the Miami Dolphins. Their roster appears loaded and ready to make a run towards the playoffs, highlighted by the arrival of Ndamukong Suh. A re-tooling Washington Redskins team will make a good first test.
Final: MIA 28, WSH 17
