This has less to do with the Philip Rivers situation and more to do with the presence of Mike McCoy. The San Diego Chargers head coach has earned a reputation for being one of the more creative play callers in the NFL. What he accomplished in 2011 with Tim Tebow is still celebrated by many. Manziel has all the mobility Tebow did with a much better arm. McCoy shouldn’t have a hard time finding a way to fit the young quarterback into a scheme that can work.
