NFL Trade Machine: What To Do With Johnny Manziel?

The rumors are pulling it both ways so there is really no telling what the Cleveland Browns have planned for second-year quarterback Johnny Manziel. His ugly career start in 2014 coupled with a stint in rehab was clearly enough to end his brief opportunity as the starter in the minds of many, but team brass insist that is not the case.
Meanwhile buzz continues to rise about the team making a hard push to go get Marcus Mariota in the draft.
That of course would put Manziel squarely on the NFL trade block since the team already has veteran Josh McCown ready for a mentor/backup role. The question then becomes which team, if any, might have interest in him. For all the hype, rumors and distractions “Johnny Football” is still young and wasn’t a 1st round pick by accident. He can play. It’s a matter of somebody believing they can get him focused and working harder at his craft.
