Round Projection/Rookie Impact

The draft grade on Gregory as a player for me is as a top 15 player. He has a chance to out-perform his draft position if he applies himself, but the physical tools and upside with this guy are ridiculous. The major question is, where do you take him based on the risk involved?

There were rumors recently that the Falcons weren’t scared off by the marijuana problem, and if that’s the case, Gregory could still be a top 10 selection. If not, teams at the bottom of the draft order would be lucky to snag him. Despite the off-field problems, I don’t see him getting out of the first round but we’ll see what teams determine.

His rookie impact could be significant. Gregory needs to be in a spot where he is covered by a tackle so he can be free to make plays and not get double teamed. I think that’s where his most extensive impact will come, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him end up with 8-12 sacks after his rookie season.
