Eagles Re-Sign OLB Brandon Graham to a Four Year, $26 Million Deal

The Eagles re-signed their former first round pick of the 2010 NFL Draft. After a disappointing start to his NFL career, Graham has really turned it on in the last two years. Graham has become a very good pass rusher.

While his numbers aren’t amazing at face value, they’re actually below average, Graham has been only a part-time player, playing behind Trent Cole.

Graham has actually been an above average pass rusher, even an elite pass rusher, according to ProFootballFocus, ranking as their tenth rated free agent available.

While some people think the Eagles may have overpaid a bit, Graham will be a starter for the Birds next season and he has the next level stats to back up his price tag, making him worth the money and a solid signing.

Eagles Trade Nick Foles and Picks for Sam Bradford and Picks

This trade is the second big trade the Eagles made this offseason, trading there starting quarterback, who was coming off of a season ending collarbone injury, for a quarterback coming off of two ACL injuries in back to back seasons.

This trade encompasses a lot, so for an in-depth review of this trade, click here.

In short, the Eagles potential got their franchise quarterback. Bradford was the first overall pick in the 2010 Draft and he went on to win rookie of the year.

Along with that, Bradford was on pace for his best season as a pro in 2013, bought in the seventh game of the season, Bradford went down with an ACL injury. After rehabbing for a year, Bradford tore his ACL again in preseason last season.

Bradford was a good player with a very high ceiling before his injuries, but he has missed so many games over the past two years, making his future a question mark. The Eagles also gave up a lot to acquire Bradford, making this trade a bit of a risk.
