Wake Forest. Kevin Johnson. 21. player. 54. Fearing that another team may trade with the Bengals to acquire Kevin Johnson, the Eagles move back up in the draft to land Johnson. Johnson is a long corner with great technique. He is very good at backpedaling, which is a rare skill for college corners to have. The Eagles signed Byron Maxwell and Walter Thurmond III this offseason, but Thurmond is only on a 1 year deal and is not seen as a long term answer for the Eagles on the outside. Whether it’s this year or if he spends most of his rookie year learning, Johnson will be a very solid addition to the Eagles secondary.. CB

player. 56. The Bengals need to find a replacement for Peko quickly because he has been a bit of a liability over the past few seasons. Phillips has phenomenal size and has the ability to take on multiple blockers. The former Sooner will be a welcomed addition to the Bengals front seven.. DT. Oklahoma. Jordan Phillips. 22

La'el Collins. 23. player. 50. The Lions could use some help along their offensive line. Collins has tons of upside, but is a bit raw and will need good coaching to reach his potential. Collins will most likely slot in as a guard for the Lions, with Rob Sims being a free agent.. OT/OG. LSU

RB. Nebraska. Melvin Gordon. 24. player. 32. The Cardinals could use help at the cornerback position, but there are some good corners that will be available on day two. The Cardinals are rumored to be interested in acquiring Adrian Peterson, meaning they are looking to acquire a top running back to pair with Andre Ellington. Gordon is a very good back and a pairing of he and Ellington would be a rock solid one-two punch for the Cardinals next year.
