In our second version Dallas Cowboys mock draft, Jerry Jones and his staff make some moves that will drastically improve both sides of the football. The team was a play away from potentially making a run at the Super Bowl last year. If they continue to get better where holes currently are, they can significantly improve their chances at a run in 2015.

This year, the Cowboys own picks in each round except for the 6th, but own two in Round Seven. They’ll have to take advantage of late-round picks in order to mark this class as a great one.

After the rush of free agency, here’s an updated prediction of what could shake out.

Round One

Eric Kendricks. 1. player. 123. After not getting better at the outside linebacker spot in free agency, Dallas needs to address the position early on in the NFL Draft. Kendricks is a heck of a prospect who flashed great ability at UCLA. He was one of the unquestioned “risers” through the pre-draft process, only helping himself once the tape was turned on and everything was put together. He’d make a very nice addition in the linebacking corps, giving Dallas the ability to truly play them wherever they’d like. He’s as versatile a linebacker prospect as any this year.. OLB. UCLA

Round Two

2. player. 123. It’s no secret that Dallas needs to add help on the inside. Bennett is the quickest DT prospect you’ll scout all season, but his lack of strength is all too evident in film. He’s going to be very intriguing on the practice fields, but too many questions will lie in whether he’ll be able to move offensive linemen in the NFL. He uses his hands and his swim move well with short-area quickness — if Dallas trusts him it’ll be a chance worth taking.. DT. Ohio State. Michael Bennett
