Buster Skrine Finds Home: New York Jets Ink Deal, Grade

It’s being reported by multiple media outlets that the New York Jets will have Buster Skrine on their 2015 roster. With much speculation surrounding Darelle Revis, the Jets will be adding Skrine to the roster to help shore up the secondary next season.
The Jets still have many needs on both offense and defense, but this move can help fans breathe just a bit easier … for the next few days, at-least.
Grade
You have to like this move from several different perspectives. Most notably however, the Jets had to be sure that they added help on the back end of the defense. With the turnaround that we’ll be seeing with Todd Bowles’ staff, it’ll be nice for Jets fans to see added weapons who can be relied on.
Skrine leaves Cleveland with a solid reputation, but potentially one that was overshadowed just a bit by Joe Haden. During adverse situations, Skrine was able to fill in and and do an admirable job covering the back end.
We’ll see what he can do in New York when potentially called upon to do a bit more, but on the surface this seems to be a move that will benefit the Jets.
