Everybody knew that the moment he left the Houston Texans, painful as it was, wide receiver Andre Johnson had one goal in mind. He wanted to find a contending team with a good quarterback so he could compete for a championship. It didn’t take long after being released for him to find that exact team he had in mind. After all, it’s a familiar one.
No team has tormented Johnson during his career more than the Indianapolis Colts, who first owned the division with Peyton Manning and now do so with Andrew Luck. Clearly the thinking is if you can’t beat them, join them. Not only are they a good fit for what he’s seeking, the Colts could be getting a missing piece to their championship puzzle.

"Over the past twelve seasons, Andre Johnson has been the model of consistency for NFL receivers. He failed to top 1,000 yards just four times in that span, and he’s never had a top tier quarterback throwing to him. He’ll be 34 by the time the 2015 season rolls around, but he still has plenty left in the tank. He had a down year in 2014 but Johnson can still be an active, big bodied receiver who’s still capable of putting up some big games."
Grade: B+
Keep in mind Andre Johnson struggled in 2014. He is 33-years old after all. Then again, you might struggle too when catching passes from three different quarterbacks during a season. There should be some juice left in that All-Pro body of his and Luck is the exact quarterback to get it out of him. The Indianapolis Colts need him and can afford him.
