Frank Gore is heading to the Philadelphia Eagles after spending his career in San Francisco.

Moments ago, Adam Schefter reported that Gore and the Eagles have a deal in place:

Here is a quick write up on Frank Gore’s career, via NFL Mocks:

"Frank Gore has been one of the most productive backs in the league throughout his 10 year career. Gore has eclipsed the one thousand yard mark eight times in his ten year career, as well as recording 64 rushing touchdowns in those ten years. However, Gore is getting up there in age, as he will turn 32 in May, and he already has over 2,400+ rushing attempts in his career. Gore can definitely help a teammwith his experience and toughness, but the team that signs him would benefit most from singing him to a two year deal, which is front loaded, and inserting him into a committee backfield to limit his touches, keeping him fresh throughout the season."

Gore has been a very productive back throughout his career, eclipsing the 1,000 yard mark eight times in his ten year career, including his last four seasons. Gore runs north to south, which is something Chip Kelly made clear that he covets in a running back when he traded LeSean McCoy, who is known for his dancing in the backfield.

While Gore has a ton of touches in his career to this point, he will be inserted into a running back committee in Philadelphia along with Darren Sproles and possibly Chris Polk, which should help limit those touches.

Grade: B- Gore is a perfect fit for the Eagles offense and he will provide the team with a tough, physical runner, who has a wealth of experience. The only drawback is Gore’s age and his rushing attempts to this point in his career. If the Eagles constructed the deal correctly, this could be a great signing for Chip Kelly and Co.
