Philadelphia Eagles: Redrafting the 2006 NFL Draft
168th Pick – Omar Gaither (LB)
Eagles
Played five seasons for the team, starting two of his first three. He was productive his sophomore year, getting 102 tackles and eight pass deflection, but suffered a lisfranc sprain in 2008. He stayed with the team for a couple more seasons before the team decided not resign him after the 2010 season.
Repick – Delanie Walker (TE)
LJ Smith was still productive for Andy Reid, but this position lacked depth during the 2006 season. He would have fit in nicely with Andy Reid’s west coast offense and was nicknamed the 49ers’ “Swiss Army Knife” for much of his career. He would have been an excellent value pick here for the Eagles
204th Pick – LaJuan Ramsey (DT)
Ramsey played in only 15 games for the Eagles, compiling six tackles and one interception
Repick – Brent Grimes (CB) (Undrafted)

An undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg, roughly two hours outside of Philly, Grimes would have helped an already bolstered secondary composed of Sheldon Brown, Lito Sheppard and Brian Dawkins. The three-time Pro Bowler has 22 career interceptions and is a Philadelphia native.
