The Jaguars wouldn’t be a bad fit considering what they currently have on the depth chart. Storm Johnson has the potential to be very good in the future, but the near future for the running back spot isn’t exactly loaded with firepower.
Certainly Denard Robinson and Jordan Todman have upside, but bringing in Reggie Bush would help Gus Bradley’s squad feel a bit more comfortable.
Bush could come in immediately and contribute for Jacksonville, giving Blake Bortles a bit more balance to work with for the next few seasons.
Obviously, we have to wait and see with Marshawn Lynch. However, the team has two pretty viable options in the backfield with Robert Turbin and Christine Michael.
I wouldn’t rule out this scenario — if Lynch doesn’t return, there’s definitely an opening for one more back to compete for a good amount of reps — but of all 32 teams, Seattle isn’t going to be looked at as a front-runner.
In-Division Fits
Looking at the Green Bay Packers, it’d be hard to rule them out where things currently stand. James Starks is hardly an impressive counterpart for Eddie Lacy, and there’s no other back under contract that can fill that void.
The Minnesota Vikings also provide an interesting solution here. If Adrian Peterson isn’t back, the Vikings could become a top destination. These guys have to give Teddy Bridgewater a running game; Bush can be a major help.
