San Diego Chargers: Re-Evaluating NFL Draft Needs
By Joe Wedra
The San Diego Chargers made a massive move on Friday, locking up tackle King Dunlap for the next four years on that offensive line. With their 2015 NFL Draft needs appearing to shift a bit, they may have to re-evaluate major areas of need.

It’d probably be wise for the Chargers’ brass to stay focused on the offensive line. However, they may be able to wait on an OT until the second round. With Dunlap and D.J. Fluker in place, you may be seeing an interior lineman that is high on San Diego’s board taken in the early-mid rounds.
Fits at Guard
With many recent issues up front including pending free agents, the Chargers have to look for an interior offensive lineman to step in and compete for a starting job immediately. Starting in the second round, there are options available.
Laken Tomlinson, Duke
A.J. Cann, South Carolina
Josue Matias, Florida State
First Round Receivers?
Arguably the biggest need on the depth chart lies at the wide receiver position. In all honesty, is there any player who can be relied upon as a massive option for Phillip Rivers? Bringing in a young, big WR could prove to be a major plus down the road. Here are a look at a few first round options (projecting that Kevin White, Amari Cooper and DeVante Parker are gone):
Sammie Coates, Auburn
Jaelen Strong, Arizona State
Devin Funchess, Michigan
Other Positions of Note
It’d be nice to see the Chargers add another tight end to look towards the future. Antonio Gates won’t be around for much longer; a young new threat could prove to be extremely beneficial.
Don’t sleep on the defensive line depth, either. The front-seven has to be improved with too many question marks all around. John Pagano’s defense could see a new interior lineman as early as the second round once the Draft rolls around.
